A must for your trip to Poland
When my father-in-law was driven out of his home town of Tarnow in 1942 I’m sure he never imagined that more than 75 years later there would be such a special and warm restaurant with an owner who will do literally anything to make his customers happy. Based on the delicious menu and his fascinating stories, he doesn’t have to do much extra to make this a wonderful and delicious part of anyone’s trip to Tarnow. Treat yourself to the coffees, pastries, soups, and everything else on the menu. It was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Poland and we would recommend it to anyone.
Enchanting Kosher Gem in Tarnów
Have just had most delicious coffee ever. Both drinks and snacks are fantastic, however most charming is The Owner. Not only is the place a lovely eatery but also an inspirational art gallery promoting Tarnów’s artists. Definitely worth a visit.
WELCOME TO TARNOW
Having been pointed in the direction of the café by the lady in the tourist office I did not know what to expect. I am not Jewish and in fact do not believe in God even though I was brought up as a Catholic. It was the history of the Jews in Poland that brought me to Tarnow as a retired academic. What a welcome! A lovely cup of green tea and a discussion that lasted over an hour – I was simply overwhelmed by the humanity and the underlying raison d’être of the place. Thank you, I will never forget and we should never forget what happened in Poland to the Jews.
